Application And Documents Required

Application shall be considered for admission only if it is accompanied with the attested copies of the following documents.

  • Statement of marks of the qualifying examination.
  • School /College Leaving Certificate (Last College attended).
  • Statement of Marks of
    • (1) Grade 10
    • (2) Grade 12 or equivalent examination

* Students who have appeared for the qualifying examination and waiting for their result may apply but confirmation of their admission will be a subject to submission of qualifying examination result and qualifying themselves as per the norms.

Attestation of Certificates (International Students)

  • Copies of certificates attached to the application form should be attested by the Principal of the School / College / Institute.
  • Original Certificates are required to be submitted at the time of scrutiny of the application prior to admission.

Provisional and Confirmed Admissions

Provisional admission shall be offered only after payment of fees and confirmed after verification of all certificates by the competent authorities.

Cancellation of Admission

a) If an admitted candidate cancels his/her admission by submitting an application in writing, for any reason whatsoever, he/she shall forfeit
his/her candidature and reconsideration of candidature.

b) If during the program of studies a candidate desires to discontinue his / her studies for any reason whatsoever, he/she shall be allowed to do so by submitting an application in writing. He / she shall be issued a leaving certificate as provided in the rules.

c) Any application for cancellation of admission is considered and shall not be entertained unless received in the office on or before the last prescribed date.

Rules Regarding Refund

50% of the total fees paid are refundable if the student leaves the Institute within one month from the date of commencement of the program in which admission is granted. The whole amount of the fees paid by the student is forfeited to the Institute if he/she leaves after the aforesaid date. Registration fee for admission at the Institute is not refundable under any circumstance.

Conduct & Discipline

The Institute expects all students enrolled to any program under its purview to conform with and follow all rules that are laid down by the school and documented in the handbook / prospectus, admission form and rule booklet.

Medical Disorders

For the regard of health and safety of other students, the Institute would not be able to entertain candidates carrying any contagious disease or skin disorders. The Institute reserves the right to examine students by a Medical Practitioner as per the Institute’s standard.

Returning of School / College Leaving Certificate

a) If the admission is cancelled within 90 days from the commencement of the program, the original school/college leaving certificate, on the basis of which the candidate was admitted, shall be returned to him/her.

b) If the admission is cancelled after the 90th day from the commencement of the program, a student shall be issued the leaving certificate from the institution where he/she was finally admitted.

c) A true copy of the original school/college leaving certificate, retained by the Admission Officer or the Institute, may be issued if requested by the candidate, with attestation by the Head of the Institute

d) After confirmation of admission, the original school/college leaving certificate, on the basis of which the candidate has been granted admission, shall be handed over to the candidate.

  1. What is the Procedure for Admission?
    1. GICA will contact the candidates regarding the respective stages of admission by posting the schedules. After following the procedure mentioned below, a final list of successful applicants shall be displayed in Administration Office, and we will intimate the students also by E-mail.
    2. Fill in the application form completely (Hardcopy at GICA, Soft Copy available on gica.com)
    3. Attach necessary documents / certificates as listed in the form. You may submit Grade 12 Grade 12 or equivalent examination and leaving certificate later if the results of qualifying exam are awaited.
    4. Submit the form to the administration office at G.I.C.A. In case of downloaded forms, you are required to make payment of USD 100 or equivalent as registration charge at the time of submission and collect a copy of the Brochure.
    5. A photo identity card for the group discussion/ extempore speech and personal interview will be issued to the student and you will be informed of the day/date/time of such test.
    6. The group discussion is a 10-minute discussion on a given topic (general or current news topic) within a closed group of 8 to 10 candidates, followed by Personal interview. Candidates should be formally attired.
    7. ACOT will display a list of successful candidates at the institute, and they will also be intimated by email.
